Leonard D. Boyd

Leonard Boyd is a professional chemical engineer with 37 years of experience in the petroleum refining, chemical and petrochemical industries.  He is the founder (1978) and President of Enex International Inc.  His consulting practice centers around the applications of technical, engineering and business skills with strong emphasis towards economics and cost controls, competitive analyses, acquisitions & divestitures, and project management.

Mr. Boyd has been directly responsible for all consulting and engineering activities of Enex International Inc. He has completed project development, project management and environmental programs for many world-scale chemical, petrochemical and refining facilities. He has provided technical, economic and financial assessments to several major acquisition and facility expansion programs.  He has completed numerous market assessments, competitor evaluations and plant improvement programs for the refining and petrochemical industries. 

Prior to forming Enex, Mr. Boyd was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation with experience in both refining and chemical operations. His refining assignments included operating responsibilities for gasoline blending, lube oil operations, olefins operations, and aromatics feedstock production.  He worked in the planning and economic function for both refining and chemicals and as Gulf's technical advisor to the Korea Oil Corporation.  In the Chemicals Company, he was the leader of project teams for several major petrochemical expansion projects and became the chief economics advisor for petrochemicals and chairman of the new business committee.

Mr. Boyd is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. He obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina. He has also completed advanced studies at Northwestern University and Stanford.  He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
